eBay support does not read these forums. For buyers and sellers only.

...

Final Value Fees which are CHARGED at time of sale.

If the item is not paid for then YOU have to ask for a fee refund.

From the help files: http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/credits.html

Example: You sold an item, but the buyer hasn't paid.

What to do:

Timing
  • You have between 2 and 32 days after the listing ends to open a case for an unpaid item.

Learn more about what to do when a buyer doesn't pay.

...

To talk to eBay support use the Help & Contact link at the top (and bottom) of this page.

Lawyers charge $300 or more per hour.  Just to put 'take action ' in perspective.

You need to open Unpaid Item Disputes against your deadbeat bidders.

They get a Strike which makes it harder for them to bid on eBay.

You get those Fees back.

You can open a UID after four days have passed without payment and close it four days later.

Also, go to your Seller Preferences and open a Block against bidders with UID Strikes.

You probably also should opt to Block bidders who do not have active Paypal accounts.

And opt for Immediate Payment Required. The listing stays open until someone hands over the cash.

Also:

I let it go cheap as I needed money to pay for some bills but

Don't do this. It is unprofessional and is one reason why serious buyers are going to pass you buy. Too personal.

Also:

It is not a good idea for a low feedback member to offer high value items.

Nor to be willing to ship to Russia or Nigeria.

Restrict your sales to Canada and the US, at least until you have 10 Detailed Seller Ratings or until the 21Day Hold on your customers' cleared payments has been lifted.

You know about the Hold don't you?

Frankly, missing that sale was probably a Good Thing.

Shipping:
C $100.00 Economy Shipping

Add $100 to your asking price instead. Buyers will absolutely balk at paying $100 for 'economy' shipping and, just so you know, it has to go via Xpresspost International since you MUST get Signature on this. Even within Canada you're looking at an 'expedited' service in order to opt into the full value of insurance and signature.
