Hi,

``Sorry, you are not allowed to purchase this itemThis item is available to buyers who have not received 2 or more unpaid item strike(s) in the past 12 month(s).You can contact the seller for more information, or find similar items offered by other sellers.``

This message always appear when I want to bid on an item and I would want to know if there is a way to bid.

Can't bid on an item

Hello 'chanoe',

Alas, there is no way to continue bidding and buying once you have had not one but two Unpaid Item strikes on your record.  What's more, those strikes will each take 12 months to wear off.  Most sellers have an autoblock on people with 2 or more strikes.  It is considered very poor form to buy items or win auctions and not follow through with payment.

If you saw a particular item with a particular seller, there is a slim (very slim) chance that if you asked the seller to list it with immediate payment required, and you are able to pay immediately, you may be able to get the item.  Most will not comply simply because had you been serious about purchases in the first place you never would have amassed at least 2 Unpaid strikes.  Hence you will find you are unable to contact the sellers as well.

On the bright side you can use the time until the strikes disappear to reflect upon the importance of paying for your buying committments, and familiarizing yourself with ebay's innumerable policies.

See you next year. 🙂

Can't bid on an item

Hi chanoe.. For whatever reasons you have allowed 2 or more unpaid item strikes to accumulate on your account.

Most sellers block bids/buy from members having 2+ strikes for obvious reasons. Your ability to purchase will be restricted until one or more drop off in 12 months,

Just cannot buy, not pay and ignore disputes. Sellers may consider a mutual cancellation , if asked.

Here's a good place to start, - if you have not already seen this link on Unpaid Items, and the related links on the right:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/questions/unpaid-item.html

And the following explains how sellers set up the many assorted 'blocks' to keep various people away from their items:  😉
