Combined invoice on mobile phone

Can you pay a combined invoice with phone, or can you only pay for individual items separately with phone? I recently had a buyer who paid for the items individually even though I sent them a combined invoice, so I'm just wondering whether or not phones would prevent a buyer from paying the combined invoice. Thanks!
