Then depending on the service chosen and PAID for, the shipper attempts to meet their promised standard.
I can send you a letter for 85 cents. If I put it in the mailbox right now, it will be picked up at 3pm (or 5pm or 9am depending on which box I choose) and should get to you in five to seven days. Not counting weekends and holidays.
Or I can send you a Priority Post envelope for $41.21. It would be picked up at my PO at 5pm and is 'guaranteed' to get to you in one business day.
