How long does it take for the seller to receive a payment by visa??

I have paid for a time-sensitive item with my visa and the seller has contacted me to say they will send it as soon as they receive payment.  How long will it take for the seller to receive my visa payment??

If you paid via PayPal credit card the payment is immediate to seller.
