How to determine the shipping?

1. Weigh the item and the packing material you will use. Measure the item in the shipping container. Use metric measurements because Canada Post went metric in 1974 and any other system is only approximate.

On the Sell Your Item form, enter the service you want to use. Choose "Calculated Shipping". Add a Handling Charge of a few cents if you want to.  Bubblewrap ain't free.

Now when your customer sees the shipping cost, he will see what you will charge him (postage, taxes, fuel surcharge, and handling/packaging) as a lump sum, to his postal code or country.

You can check what that is by going to your listing, looking at the S&H and entering various postal codes. (For example, for Ontario use K1A 0A6, which is Parliament in Ottawa). Or for the USA use 90210. You will see what a customer at that code would see.

.
2. How to excuse the shipping after a successful selling?
Do you want to refund the shipping cost in whole or in part? The simplest way is to let the buyer pay and then from Paypal do a refund. But that can annoy some buyers, since they have to pay first. You can also, before the buyer pays, change the amount you want to charge him. The trick is  DO NOT HIT RECALCULATE.  Just change the amount and send the invoice.
