I just sell some my own things I don't need it any more. Should I claim income for tax?

I am an international student. I just collect my old things to resale. The total value won't be more than two or three hundred dollars. I don't have ant other income. Should I claim this as my income for tax purpose? Thanks in advance.

Keep your paperwork in order, but basically you are running an online garage sale and the money you get is not taxable.

'Resale' is a noun. The verb is 'to resell'. One of my pet annoyances. 🙂

Only if you make profit out of it, and you total net income $400 or more

Selling price - expenses - original cost = positive number

In you case of total gross sale of $300, NO
