I sold an item then canceled but still had to pay final value fees

So this happened a couple months ago. I sold an item then opened a case to cancel because I ran into a problem. The buyer never responded and I still had to pay quite a bit for final value fees. Is there a way I can get that money back?

You submitted a transaction cancellation to the buyer? If so and they did not respond to it, your final value fees should have been credited. If the buyer selected Decline and not Agree, then you will not get a fee credit. I believe you only have a certain amount of time (probably 30 days) in which to get a credit on your fees.
