I just want to know your opinion about sellers doing shill bidding.
Take a look at this links:

Not alot of information needed to make a full determination so I have to make alot of assumptions.

Assuming that there is a reserve on the auction, the bidder, who has a 100% positives and a FB rating of 10 with a membership since 6/2000, I would say that the person is simply bidding by a couple of bucks each time to reach the reserve by bidding the highest amount they wish to bid on the item.

They are NOT bidding to force anyone else up, simply bidding in increments of a couple of bucks. Generally you see this with newbies with less than 5 FB rating but anyone can make a habit out of it.

I get these all the time on my auctions. I have never had a problem and I gladly welcome them as they add to the spirit of the auction and usually get others bidding up by a buck or two until bidding passes the reserve and the original BIN price.

Yes, but this user name is bidding on every item listed
by this seller and the items are the same.
Why a person will buy identical item from the same seller every hour? I checked the seller other items and this guy's name is in every item listed.
Is obvious that the bidder and the seller knows each other.

I couldnt see that from what you provided us to see in your link.

It sounds like shill bidding from your description above however. It also sounds like the guy's eBay userid has been high-jacked.

Check this link, is more clear.
By clicking in bids, you will see this user ID in most of the listings over and over. I wonder if EBay find out about this kind of business?

2hormy:

eBay generally only finds out about policy violations that are reported to them. You can do so by going to the policy page:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/seller-shill-bidding.html

and scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the link that says "report".

The two times I've reported a shill bidder, eBay suspended their accounts temporarily.

Cheers,
Ernie
