For any of you who are wondering why deposits [specifically Paypal] are not showing up in a timely manner into your accounts....
It is related to the Royal Bank Crash. Even if you do not deal with Royal Bank. Royal Bank is the main processing center in Canada. I am told that almost all the banks use Royal for processing incoming deposits be it Paypal, Pay checks, etc.
The news has been saying they hope to have the problem fixed by Wednesday June 9th. My bank manager {TD} informed me that internally they are being told it may be quite a bit longer.
If you are running into cash troubles because of deposits missing. Take a copy of your paypal deposits, pay stub - what ever you are missing, to the bank and they will set up an automatic overdraft for that amount. My understanding is that all the banks are doing it,however I can only speak from experience with TD Canada Trust.
I've not seen a Paypal deposit show up since Tuesday and I have 8 of them lost in bank heaven somewhere.
