Selling fees on shipping?!?!?!

I am confused, I sold a 50$ item. the FVF is supposed to be 4% right? how come I end up having to pay 6.50$ worth of fees?

10% for the item and 10% for the shipping fees?!?! I don't get it. It was a fixed price sale...

Where did you get that misinformation?

Final Value fees apply to the total transaction value (item + shipping).

In most categories, FVF are 10% for sellers without a store (9% if you pay eBay a monthly fee for a store).
