How come my listings do not have this feature. Is is something to do with the scanning process?

I looked at the first listing and the scan meets the bare minimum, so it can't be enlarged,

Check your scans to see what size they are. If the biggest size is 500 pix on an edge, there is nothing to enlarge.

If you want the enlarge to work, you have to set your scanner higher at a higher resolution

I use 300 as the resolution on my scanner.

For postage stamps which may invite even closer inspection I use 600.
