shipping rates

I have an envelope 23mm X 30mm X 1.5" and weighs 350 grams.  According to the Canada post brochure (January 2013) the rate to mail it to the USA is $7.60.

When I use the light packet option through ebay/paypal shipping labels, the cost is $8.89

What am I missing, why is the rate more for online?  Was it always and I missed it?

Correct Light Packet postage rates are

1-100 grams $2.65 (+ GST/HST)

101-250 grams $5.53

251-500 grams $8.89

So you are getting the correct Light Packet USA rate. 350 grams.

The $7.60 you have is for the old Small Packet USA air 250 grams rate. Are you looking at the correct place on the brochure? Canada Post did make some errors on the printing of the brochure.

PS The dimensions you listed cannot be correct. 23mm X 30mm X 1.5". You must mean 23 cm x 30 cm x 1.5 cm.

The original flyer that CP sent out for 2013 shows 2.53, 5.26 and 8.46 but they are wrong.  The new flyers with "correct" prices are supposed to be available on Monday.
