where is this fee coming from?

so this is my first month being on ebay, and i sold one game. i didn't do anything fancy on the page, just a simple add with no extra charges. my question is though, i received an invoice for $2.48 and I don't know where that is coming from. the invoice doesn't say where that fee came from.

it says insertion fee, but its only a few cents. nothing on the pages shows where the money is coming from. when i posted the item for sale, why did it say the listing was free if it actually wasn't?

There is a fee for listing, although this is often waived through some promotion or other.

There is a fee for selling.

There is a fee on your shipping cost.

There may be fees for using some listing options, like second categories, advertising in England, or extra pictures.

Fees tend to run around 20% of the selling price, but because some are fixed minimum charges, this can go higher on low priced items.
