Confused

So I had one of my recent purchases damaged during shipping, and because it is handled by GSP the seller isn't a part of this. So the obvious thing to do is to open a request, about item damaged on arrival, I tried that, it gives me an error and says that seller does not accept return so I cannot open a case about returning an item, Ok so if I can't open a case on ebay, I have to go to Paypal, but after opening a case on Paypal, seller messaged me that doing so will be asking money from him, the seller, instead of GSP who handled my item. So I called ebay, and they told me to go on paypal, OK then what am I doing now?

You tried opening a case on ebay for an item-not-as-described ??

It tells me
"PayPal reports that a return should not be opened, try contact your seller instead"
no matter what problem I choose.

Even if the seller says No Returns, both eBay and Paypal will allow Disputes and refunds.

The only question is whether the seller or the buyer will pay for the return if the seller demands it.

However.

With GSP being involved it is important immediately to state that this was a GSP shipment and to ask for a GSP specialist.

At this point, your best bet is to phone (Help and Contact at the bottom of this page) and explain that you need a GSP specialist to resolve a Dispute.

This is not a "review" it is a Dispute and you want to make a Claim.

It might be best to call during US mainland business hours, since the US clerks seem to be allowed more responsibility. You'll just have to put up with those awful accents.

Generally, the shipment, once accepted by GSP, is the GSP's responsibility.

They generally don't want the item returned (what would they do with it?).

But you will need the specialist.
