I'd like to suggest that going forward, eBay not allow a listing to be uploaded unless the seller (usually a new or returning seller) has a working Managed Payments account registered and useable.

Will the new International Shipping program that is being tested on dotCOM use the postal system or couriers?

What about last-mile delivery which has been a problem for both GSP and the current iteration of the International Shipping program?

These past few days the "Contact Buyer" link does not work. If a buyer messages first there is no problem responding, it's the actual "Contact Buyer" button which I use for certain regular buyers/customers who leave a nice note with their payment and I like to respond so they know I saw their message. Or to send a thank you and such to long time customers.

There is another thread/question this past week where other people are having same problem (sorry I don't know how to copy it over here). The is always a spinner that never stops. I've tried it from several different places, orders, the buyers user name, tried different browsers, not sure what is happening. Not a big deal but it was a nice thing to be able to do (when we could!)

Thank you!

There are three questions about shipping options on the new THNGVB selling form, all basically that multiple options are either impossible to choose or difficult to find.

Hello Devon,

1. This has come up a few times in the past but is there anything in the system for when a buyer changes from pickup to requesting shipping after paying? Currently it appears the only way is for them to cancel and repay. Not sure if  the seller refunded  they would be able to send a revised invoice after the fact and then buyer could pay with the correct shipping?

2. Is eBay aware of the fact that the category map used on dot ca and dot com do not mirror each other perfectly? There are omissions, discrepancies , duplications and subtle variances between the 2 maps. It means if a US buyer uses  category  to search they may not see available listings on other sites. And vice versa. Doesn't put sellers on a level playing field especially when USA listings (from my testing) do not include Search Canada. This could be a major quagmire and reason why many Canadian sellers have seen a substantial drop in sales. Too much tinkering with categories and the assortment of IS's that may also vary (between sites). Including condition options. Part 2 of this is Lots have been reduced and ommitted in a number of categories, especially on ca. This has made listing Mixed lots next to impossible because of IS's being dedicated to 1 item only.

3. Was in contact with a US seller recently. They wanted to know why blocked countries were able to buy. It could have been either they were searching using a US address or it was connected to the current ticket for shipping services and eBay's system overriding a sellers blocked list. In doing addtional testing I was able to see their listings if I checked their site using dot com for shipping to USA (They do not ship to Canada). When I searched using dot ca and their store shipping to the USA suddenly their listings became invisible. Is this how the system was designed? Listings should not be hidden in this way.

Thanks,

-Lotz

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies! There is a site wide ticket that is open on this issue with the "Contact Buyer" link not working. If sellers are running into this they can reach out to customer support here and let them know that they are running into ALERT14263.

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies! For your first question about local pick up orders needing to be switched to one being shipped the only was to do so is the seller would have to cancel the order. From their they would have to relist the item with shipping as an option.

For your second question I will be sure to have this passed along to the correct team so they can look into this.

On the third question in regards to blocked countries do you have an example of a username to an account that is experiencing this? I can look into this but since it may involve some account specific details, some of the information could only be shared with the seller directly.

Re: 3rd Question - Sellers listings hidden when searched from ca

This was only discovered by accident in the attempt to help another seller confirm their settings were correct. Because there is no way to contact you directly(in this forum), unable to share the actual example.

Hi @femmefan1946! I heard back from the Shipping Team and they wanted to share this:

"Export 2.0 makes use of a variety of shipping partners to deliver the packages to the buyer based on location of buyer and the type, size & shape of item being shipped. The last mile delivery partner could range from local postal provider, a specialized delivery service, courier service or a regional delivery provider to ensure that the best buyer experience. If any member wants more specific information they can always reach out to us at ebayinternationalshipping@ebay.com."
