Leaving feedback about a buyer

I'm not quite understanding the idea of leaving feedback about a buyer right after the item has been mailed but before it could have been recived. Not too much I could say other than the funds went through. Something I'm missing about this proceedure? I do understand the idea of giving a heads up to other sellers for some clients but without communication from the client or any feedback, I don't know what I am basing my opionion on.

Mostly it's a courtesy to tell the buyer the purchase is on its way and to encourage leaving feedback.

Sellers don't read feedback, since only positive FB can be left.  The only ones who read FB are your future  buyers, so make sure what you say about your current customer doesn't discourage your future customer.

BTW, if you want to know about your customer, read his FB Left for Others, not the FB he has recieved.
