is feedback removal on free return shipping still a policy ?

I remember ebay announced they are going to start removing negative feedback on items the buyer returned for free no matter the reason . Is this still a thing I have a feeling I might get hit with a negative from a Bad buyer based on our messages and how fast they are escalating this situation  .

If your listing states free returns on all returns (including remorse returns)  there is some protection from negative feedback but I'm not sure if it is ALL neg. feedback or if it is just when the seller has held back some of the refund because the item returned was damaged or used.
