Hi everyone. 

Opening up a thread to discuss the 2017 Summer Seller Update, announced May 9th on eBay.ca.

The move to shippoo  is ONLY for clicking shipping labels on ebay's website (a detail the ebay shills haven't been overly clear about). Since all payments thru paypal have their own print shipping label links... and they're still direct to the canada post system, so you actually don't have to deal with the latest ebay scam shipping service at all. And when you click the print label link on paypal, it marks the item shipped on your ebay page still.

You never did. You can mail what you want any way that you want. But if you want the eBay-negotiated postage discount, you have to use the eBay setup. eBay is assuming in their literature that sellers still want to use it.

ypdc_dennis has done all the cost comparisons in other threads; it's probably worth your time to look for that.

Except...paypal still provides the discount thru their connection to canada post. Nor do I care for what one of the many ebay shills has said/done in other threads.

Paypal provides the Canada Post small business discount, not the eBay discount. They are not exactly the same.
