Can I still put the USA untracked light packet barcode on as a tracking number?

Regarding the barcode on a USA light packet airmail untracked shipping label - I noticed that I can no longer enter the barcode number from my shipping label in the tracking info after printing my label from ebay shipping labels.  Is there a way to still enter that number? I liked the fact that when it reached USPS it was often scanned and I could see when it was delivered. Am I doing something wrong or is this no longer an option in Managed Payments using ebay shipping labels?

If you were referring to US Small Packet Air UR#########CA the answer to that is yes. Light Packet Air was obsoleted awhile back.

Just an update. I had a buyer ask me for tracking on a small packet parcel. I put the number under the barcode on eBay this morning & just checked it now.  Says it was delivered Nov. 5/21.  I think a lot of buyers are claiming items not received when they are.  Canada Post & USPS are very good with delivering packages.  Very few actually ever get lost.  I have been selling on eBay for almost 20 years now.  Many buyers are just scamming the system because they know they can get away with it.   If they think the seller has no way of proving delivery with a tracking number, they will say it was not received.

Hello,

I use that bar code all the time.

I used that "Small Packet Air" Bar Code number for tracking just a month ago.

I don't know how to do a proper screen shot (sorry) but was able to 'copy' the entries.  Here are the detailed entries as posted on eBay tracking........

I just entered the tracking number from the barcode on the light packet directly on my sold eBay listings. I didn't do it when I printed up my label.  But a few days later when the customer asked for it.  Seemed to go through but if it ever gets scanned is another story. Will have to watch for that.

They've modified the data entry portal recently. It now has to be in an accepted format. I've used in past to show LETTER with a DATE. When I tried this yesterday, it would not accept. Had to go with a numbered date and method Canada Post.

since "Light Packet" hasn't existed for a few years now, I believe you must be referecning "Small Packet" and as of yet I have not used this method for awhile on eBay, but would be interested in knowing if the application for submitting that barcode as a tracking number still works(I used it often when still able to use PayPal labels here with eBay sales.)
