Question About How Multiple Coupons Work

Hello and happy new year!!

If I have 2 coupons, for example: one for free shipping over $100, and the other 15% off one item. How can I prevent both coupons from applying to an order.

So, if an order is over $100, they will get free shipping but I don't want them to be able to also use the 15% off coupon. Is there a way to have only one coupon apply to the order?

I don't know the answer though I do know that there are rules on how different promotions/coupons/sales etc. do or do not work together.  Someone might know or be able to find the answer but can you confirm what you actually mean by coupon?  I could be wrong but I thought coupons weren't  available on .ca.  The tools you will be using to offer the discount may affect the answer to your question so we may need to know that first.
