I want to sell a fat ps3 (500gb) to the USA for 220$, would I have to pay a import tax if i use canada post or any shipping company? and if I use chitchat express were they bring the product over the border and use usps shipping would they still charge a import tax?

Lurking around in the basement of the eBay Canada community discussion boards are threads about how problematic the "standard" (surface) shipping services of UPS, FedEx and their ilk can be as they tend to slug Canadian buyers with hefty processing and clearance fees that aren't included in the shipping price of the item. These charges are either paid on delivery or else the recipient receives an invoice for these charges in the mail.
While it's unlikely that US buyers would have to pay any taxes on their items upon receipt as eBay charges and collects them at payment (when applicable), I wouldn't want to chance it at this time.
Why do you want to ditch Canada Post?
