The seller offered to pay half of repair. What do I do?

I BOUGHT AN ITEM ON EBAY IT WAS OVIBIOUS IT WAS NOT IN WORKING ORDER WHEN IT WAS SENT. I HAD IT LOOKED AT BY SOMEONE WHO THOUGHT THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT WORK FOR A PRICE,MORE THAN $100 AND NO GUARANTEE. THE SELLER OFFERED TO PAY HALF, WHAT DO I DO? DO I ASK FOR MORE $ ? LIKE I SAID IT DID NOT WORK, THE COMMENT IN THE DISCRIPTION SAID IT WAS CHECKED OVER .THE SHIPPING AND WRAPPING WAS PERFECT. PLEASE HELP ME

The seller offered to pay half of repair. What do I do?

When did you purchase the item?  When and how did you pay?

 

If within the last 45 days, file a claim with eBay/PayPal (depending on the site where you purchased the item) with "goods not as described".  After filing the claim, escalate as soon as possible.
