EBay is kinda patronizing.
They restrict the number and value of purchases by new members -- and do the same for new sellers.
The idea is that the naive new buyer won't get in over her head, and the innocent new seller won't be eaten alive by scammers.
(Of course it also means a scammer can't set up thousands of vapourware listings at an impossibly good price, nor can he steal dozens of items from sellers before being shut down.)
It still annoys the grownups who are pretty sure we know what we are doing.
What are they asking you to do to 'verify' your Paypal account? Do the addresses on both eBay and PP match? Do you have a credit card attached to your PP account?
