Toward the end it mentions a buyer malaise that I haven't noticed. I've enjoyed summer record-breaking sales for the last 3 months. Now, sadly, my eBay store sits nearly empty. I just popped in to the local consignment store to make an appointment to bring in some merchandise and the proprietor said that there storage room is full and there's a waiting list of 25 people.

EBay's problem is that it's so big that it can't help but make Macro decisions and Macro decisions are most often f**ked up.
The only way eBay is going to see a return to auction listings is to make them affordable again.
