Canadian currency rates not accurate

Items for sale that I'm watching are listed in US funds, but do not correctly calculate into Canadian funds. Not matching the current exchange rate.

bank exchange and ebay exchange are not necessarily the same.

The conversion shown on items prior to buying should really be ignored.

PayPal uses a 2.75% for CAD or USD exchange rates. Any other currencies are 3.5%. This information can be found on section 8.8 of PayPal's user policy.

Did you ever see the British tv show Capital City? It was about currency traders in London.

They made their dosh buying and selling currency which changes its value minute by minute.

My daily newspaper shows the exchange rate as 92.56 cents US. Xe.com shows it at 92.0352. The Royal Bank website shows 0.9000.
