I'd paint it pink, load it with fruit, light it on fire, and crash it into Alcatraz. Taking pictures all the way, from a helicopter, of course.

It's too bad nobody bought it - sounds like it'll have to be scrapped now. What a waste of several thousand dollars with of listing fees!

I sail boats and pick up sailing and yachting magazines and surf the net.

You would be surprised at the number of yachts, navy vessels, and massive cargo ships for sale including submarines etc etc etc.

There are ltterely hundreds of vessels over 500' for sale and its a Buyer's market. Some even go for as little as $1, so long as you move them.

I'd like to see this puppy dropped into a pond near North Bay and turned into a driving range.

Use the tower for a pro shop/clubhouse.

Gawd!!! It's too early to be creative.

Cheers!

How about also buying a sub as well to look for golf balls that are driven off it?

Excellent idea - but other than West Edmonton Mall - where are we gonna find a sub?

Lets see if the Brits have any more of those bargain basement, banged-up, de-commisioned subs that they wanna unload.

There are quite a few available for sale. I'll provide some links (as a joke) later.

Alot of people purchase personal subs and there are some smaller military and commercial ones "floating" around.

Here are some subs for sale: http://www.silvercrestsubmarines.co.uk/main_listing.html and
http://www.b-americanboats.com/submarines.html
The first one is for alot of more personal/recreational types of subs and the second is for military surplus. I'm not 100% certain but I believe they have removed all the weapons.

Of course if these are out of your price range you can always get a sub at Subway for under $6.

Malcolm, the only problem with a sub from Subway is that it tends to get a little mushy below 30 feet.

You are right Bill.

You have to use a Mr. Sub if you are going down past 30 feet.
