Ebay.ca -- Item condition not properly displayed to the Canadian buyers!

I have been a long time buyer on Ebay.  But I didn't find out this serious issue until I ran into a problem with an UK seller.  This seller put some damage conditions in the "item condition" section, but in the actual description he put "perfect condition".

When I view this item on ebay.ca website, e.g. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/xxxxxx  (xxxxx being the item number), the item condition only displays "--" and there is no seller's note on the top of item description.  After I purchased the item and found out  it is in fact damaged, I contacted the seller and he pointed out that he already mentioned this in the item condition section.  After some investigation, I found out that if I change the item URL to the USA ebay site or UK ebay site, I am able to see the correct item condition section and it is also displayed as a seller's note on the top of item description. e.g., change the URL to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/xxxxxx or http://www.ebay.com/itm/xxxxxxxxxxx, then I can see the proper item condition listed by the seller.

This is a serious issue to the buyer.. as the item condition is a key factor , and some sellers (intentionally?) put perfect condition in the item description section but conflicted description in the item condition section. (why does ebay allow them to do so?)

In this case where the item condition is different from item description and I was not able to view the item condition, I feel being scammed but no way to get any proper refund!

btw, I don't understand why there is no contact email option on ebay as it is much easier to put some detailed account-based information in the email than talking on the phone... especially when you are in the office and all other people can hear you...

Hi c2chuc,

Would you mind sending me an email with the item number please? I'm curious to know what's going on here.

Hi Kalvin

sent an email to you.  I actually called Customer support yesterday and they verified the same problem... and it seems only US and UK websites display the proper information, all other countries' sites are missing this key information...
