At the moment the American dollar is worth a teensy bit less than our Canadian buck. So when you see a listing in US dollars, the Canadian equivalent suggested will be provided, and presently a little less.
The ebay suggested equivalent is always somewhat 'friendlier' than what you pay at the checkout. There is the paypal 2.5% currency exchange fee to consider. Forgot about that, didn't you.:-D Hence, that 25 cent coin you bought for $13.99 ends up costing you $14.07. If you wish to follow currency fluctuations, here's a couple sites:
