I purchased a security camera system which won't function. Can no longer contact seller.

I contacted the manufacturer's tech department. They concluded that it was a faulty DVR / Hard Drive. The seller informed me that he would replace the machine, but I can no longer contact him. The 45 day period expired on December 14th. Please advise

You should have his name and address from your PayPal payment.  That should allow you to find his telephone number through online 411 services.  Or get his telephone number from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/ebayadvsearch?_sofindtype=9

 

Call him.

 

If you cannot obtain satisfaction and you paid with your credit card through PayPal, call your credit card issuer (bank) at the toll free number shown on your monthly statement and file a chargeback for "goods received in damaged condition".
