The seller is going to have some very unhappy customers if he sells parts that don't fit. And under eBay's Money Back Guarantee, he will be paying shipping both ways -- which is money he never sees, since it goes to the shipper-- to get the incorrectly described part back and then getting a Defect-- which is a great dread for sellers since those affect both our fees and our ability to sell here.
You did your best by letting him know that, in your opinion, the parts he is offering will not fit the vehicles he believes they will. I'd move on.
