HI All,
Now i don't know if its just me, but this advertising to buyers that they cannot leave negative everywhere in red no less, has brought on a slew of neg happy newbies.
Its just crazy.

I have a buyer ( newbie of course, who paid for an item ( she has 2 orders, both bought seperatly on the same day and 2 totally different products, she left negative feedback on the same day she paid.

its my understanding that buyers cannot leave negative until 7 days under the new policy, or am i missing something.

i pulled contact info and to top it off, its invalid.
i have put in a complaint, but really, thats going to get where? We all know thats a useless road unless your a buyer complaining about a seller..

Any advice anyone??
Thanks Pat

Your buyer actually bought three items and it's been more than 3 or 7 days whichever the negative blackout period is.

Did you combine the shipping correctly?

2 willows, your situation is a perfect example of how bad Ebay's decision to make feedback one way was.

I'm curious though about how Ebay will generate revenue after the majority of their seller base has been driven away by the foolish policy changes.

Well as predicted, i got the standard Android robot response
from eBay not addressing the question i had asked.LOL
So predictable.

Here it is: Bla Bla Bla

Dear Pat,

Thank you for taking the time to write eBay in regard to the negative
feedback the buyer left for item #290232249281.

In some cases, we can remove Feedback, but only if the comment meets the
requirements for removal under our Feedback Abuse and Removal policy.
We've reviewed the Feedback that you asked about and determined that it
doesn't meet the removal requirement as outlined in the policy.

To learn more about the eBay Feedback Abuse and Removal policy and the
requirements for removal, go to:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html

To learn more about other suggestions for resolving Feedback disputes,
go to:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/feedback/feedback-disputes.html

Here are some things you may wish to consider going forward to help
maintain (or improve) your Feedback rating:

1. Always clearly indicate shipping location and timeframes in your
listings. Shipping issues are the primary reason negative Feedback is
left!

2. Consider emailing your buyers once the item has been shipped to let
them know that their item is on its way (and the expected time frame for
delivery).

3. Consider enclosing a note with the item asking buyers to leave you
positive Feedback OR contact you prior to leaving Feedback if they are
not 100 percent satisfied with their purchase.

I understand your frustration regarding this matter and apologize for
the inconvenience it caused you.

Sincerely,

Sanford

I'm not exactly sure what your question to eBay was but it looks to me like they gave you a specific answer. What you should concentrate on is figuring out why your buyer felt they were being ripped off. This isn't the first time you have had some buyer confusion/unhappiness and going forward you need to determine exactly what went wrong so as to avoid it in future. The buyer made three purchases on the same day yet you said they made separate payments, not only did this cost you extra PayPal fees but it no doubt led to the buyer thinking (right or wrong) they were overpaying.

Ebay did nothing and answered nothing. They give useless scripted responses. The more you defend their customer service the less intelligent you appear.

Recep.

Are you working for eBay or what?
Did you Read, my post ?

I specifically asked, eBay, what is the deal with this 7 day policy?

I got = No answer to that

i asked about contact info being invalid
i Got= no answer for that

And i just got off the phone with them too, when i asked about the 7 day policy, he had no clue what i was saying, said must be an error in the policy's, lol when its clear a day written.

You are correct, we do have some buyer confusion. starting this week and this week only, i have been selling for 3 years, and received these negatives all this week, prior to that i had 1 only.

I would love to know why and fix it, before the buyer leaves negatives for the other 2 items, however,
they would need to answer my emails i`ve sent.
4 so far, and have a valid Phone number, when i call its wrong.

So what more do i do?

I d`ont know why they paid seperatly, they where invoiced all together.

Also, how would you know that she bought 3 items??
I didn't mention that anywhere in the post
Are you emailing my buyer to stick your nose where it doesn't belong?

Are you a double agent or what?lol

We are here to support each other in this forum in my understanding, so instead of bashing and throwing
rubbish comments of things you know nothing of,
maybe lend an ear to a peer instead of being so quick to tear them down,
I`ve seen your other posts all over, and seems to me, that horse your on must be mighty high.

No I don't work for eBay!
Yes I read your post but you didn't state clearly what your actual question to eBay was.

Like I said in a previous post, May 27th to June 4th is MORE than 7 days which makes your question about a restricted time period for a buyers to leave a neg moot.

eBay told you under what circumstances feedback can be removed, your situation isn't one of them. They then gave you some advice on how to avoid future problems. I don't see what more they can do.

Also, how would you know that she bought 3 items??
I didn't mention that anywhere in the post

I guess in your three years you never bothered to use Search by Bidder or completed listings.

We are here to support each other in this forum in my understanding

You don't seem to want support you just want me to blindly agree with you....sorry can't do that.

FYI, details of the restriction period for negative feedback can be found on this page.

Um.....lots of people. When someone comes to the board to ask a question many people go search sold items or items bought by the bidder to get some further information in order to better answer. It's pretty much standard procedure.

It's not sneaky. It's not difficult and it's not a big deal.

Like if a bidder comes to the boards and says I bought an item from a seller and he's not responding HEEEEELP! Well it's kind of hard to give proper assistance without knowing some details like when they bought, reading the sellers feedback, listing details etc.

The answer given depends on whether they bought the thing 2 minutes ago or a month ago now doesn't it?

A strange question ..... by raising the fees, of course 😉
25 % of sellers leave - fees go 25% up - and everything is fine.

montrealmaps "25 % of sellers leave - fees go 25% up - and everything is fine."

There's a bit of a problem with your math.
If 25% of the sellers leave- all things considered equal- the fees would have to increase by 33 1/2% to account for the difference.

($1.00 - 25% = 75¢ ..... $0.75 + 33 1/3% = $1.00)

So everyone- get prepared for BIG FEE INCREASES!

What if 25% of sellers leave and the remaining 75% see their sales go up 33%?
