Know a good US Customs Broker?

Hi all,

I currently sell some semi-large items and was thinking of adding others before the big CP rate increase hit me hard. I've begun to investigate other shipping avenues for these items and have found that FedEx will ship ground service to the US on these items for 40% less than CP (ie: $42 versus $70 CDN to CA).

Here's the catch. They do not provide customs clearance at the US border with their Ground Freight service. I'm hoping that if I can find a good US Broker I can clear these items for $10 to $15 and still save.

Anybody know of a reliable US Broker and their approximate fees? Am I missing something or is this avenue a possibility?

If anyone has researched this or even tried it and has some advice I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks,
Monique

Do you want a suggestion also? Do NOT use FedEx Ground. Stick to CP or go with Purolator or UPS. FedEx Ground is the worst carrier in the entire industry, trust me.
