Light Packet in Canada Post shipping calculator

I'm pleased to be able to report that Light Packet now appears as a shipping option in the Canada Post Find-a-Rate calculator. It was missing from the site when the new postal rates were announced in January. I complained at the time...nothing was done...agitated again earlier this month...lo and behold, success. Only took CP 3 months to rouse themselves from their torpor.

Now to try and get an explanation from CP as to when and why they surreptitiously raised Tracked Packet International rates by 5 to 6% from those announced when the service was unveiled. Probably will have to approach the Ombudsman.

Tom, this year has to be the biggest year of Canada Post mistakes and screwups with the implementation of the new rates and services. These are the ones I remember.

- no light packet rates in the early release of new rates in Dec

- wrong rates added to early Dec document for Light Packet (seems every year LP is missing)

- distributed CP pamphlets published with incorrect Light Packet rates

- no Light Packet in the CP shipping calcualtor

- CP shipping calculator had International TP showing up in addition to USA TP

Even PayPal got into the act and messed up the implementation of Tracked Packet in PayPal shipping labels.
