eBay does not give discount to powersellers.

You get a (not so slight) 20% rebate on your FVFs for being a Top Rated Seller (TRS). That's a good thing!

Now take a pen and paper (or a spreadsheet) and start calculating how much you would save by opening an eBay store.  On one hand it costs you $20 a month but you save from 1% to 4% on FVF ((depending on your categories) and you get a fair amount of "free listings" every month.

Some random data follow-up:

I listed about 200 auctions under this offer. And I did get some sales. But there were NO bids on any of these auctions, all of my buyers used the Buy-It-Now option instead.
