Since I can't prove I shipped the item it looks like they are going to reverse it automatically ---
Has this happened to anyone else? What do you suggest I do?
Thanks

I had it happen to me one,,,shipped lettermail , no tracking,,, Buyer claimed Unauthorized purchase on credit card. I just responded that item was shipped Lettermail with no tracking due to cost,,,and added that if
" I was going to use someone elses credit card to make purchases on E-bay why would I have the item shipped to the card holders address".
Buyer received their money back but after about 2 month's Pay-Pal saw the light and reversed the money back to me.

That's a good point. I think i'll add "Was the item shipped to the cardholder's address?" - as I cannot tell for sure, but the eBay address and the PayPal address is the same.
I still have the email address of the purchaser, would there be any point in emailing them?

You can email the person and ask if there has been a mistake and perhaps remind them of what you had sent.
But if you don't hear back them and you have no proof that you actually mailed the item, you will lose the claim. If you wait for Paypal to make the decision they will also charge you a fee...$10 or $20 but if you tell them that you won't fight the claim as you don't have proof that you sent the item, they will take the money but shouldn't charge you.
I don't know what happened in the other poster's situation, I've never heard of paypal reversing an unauthorized use claim. Perhaps the cardholder realized that it was a mistake and cancelled the claim.
