Telephone number to talk to someone in the e-bay dept.

We are purchasing a vehicle through e-bay and apparently we get a wire and have it sent to a Bank in the United kingdome.  It sounds fishy to us that your company takes full ownership of the shipping and transferring of funds.  We are to receive a 1998 Rialta Motorhome for $8500.00.  Is e-bay aware of this?  Please who do we talk to?

No need to contact eBay about it they have known about it for years.

Walk away do not deal with these people.

If you post on the eBay.com Motors Discussion Board you will gets lots of responses on this subject.

No you're not.  You are right, it is fishy.  Where exactly did you see the ad for this?

Was it on Craiglist, Kijiji, or some other site like that?  It wasn't actually here on ebay, was it?

Report the listing on the site where you saw it.

It is a common scam whereby the thieves claim to offer ebay's buyer protection, making

their victims feel safe and secure to send the money.

A few years ago a fellow posted to the boards here demanding to know where his vehicle

was, as he had wired the money nearly 2 weeks earlier.  He had to be told it was all a scam

and he lost his money.  It was heartbreaking, the poor guy.

As the saying goes, -- never buy any vehicle if you can't kick the tires.
