UIC case closed but says "open case"?

Before I call Ebay I want led to check with the community if anyone else is having this problem. I closed an UIC last week and when I look at the resolution center it is marked as close. Since I still haven't been paid and the customer asked me to cancel the transaction, I am trying to cancel. Every time I select 'cancel this transaction" I get an error message saying "unable to cancel as there is an open case...". Yet the case is closed and can not be reopened. It's like I'm stuck in a loop. Anyone else ever had this issue?

You closed the unpaid item case after the 4 day waiting period or did you close it early?  If you closed it after 4 days then the transaction is cancelled already. If you closed it early, I'm not sure what is going on.Did it ask you if the buyer had paid....it must have asked you to check off an option when you closed it.
