Why aren't Canadian banks acceptable to EBay?

Hi,

This is going to sound like a real newbie's question. Why doesn't eBay accept Canadian banks as a payment source for our fees? Is it a legal thing? A policy thing? A distance between the eBay companies?.
I'm curious.

I use my bank account linked to my PayPal account.
Then I pay with PayPal, telling them to use the Bank account as the source.

Of course, this won't work if I have $$ in PayPal; They just scoop that $$

I pay ebay with my Mastercard, which is linked to a Canadian bank.

Ebay doese accept Canadian Banks as a payment sources for your seller fees , but you have to access your ebay account from ebay.ca not ebay.com . I pay my ebay seller fees directly from my TD account .
