add a description does not show standard or html

Just tried to list an item but the "add a description" box does not allow me to choose between Standard or HTML as it used to do.

Me too! Yesterday when I opened eBay to do some new listings I found that the Standard and HTML tabs have disappeared in my Add A Description field. All descrioptions are in HTML. I have not been able to Revise, Sell Similar, Sell Using a Template or start from scratch.

It is a Microsoft issue with this week's Explorer update. Sign in to Ebay via Google Chrome and you should be good-to-go.

Are you using Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11? A recent Microsoft update was automatically installed that may be causing this issue. When you are in eBay, go to options in Internet Explorer and set compatibility mode on. This will set it for eBay only and should fix the problem.
