Interesting that the president of Paypal should quit right after Google announces its competing service (which eBay has, of course put on the 'banned' list of payment options sellers are allowed to use - another stupid move guaranteed to alienate sellers)

Google Checkout is not available outside th US anyway. Would not help us if we don't have a US address.

First I heard of google, however, because ebay has dual interest in paypal and ebay, it would be no doubt against fair competition laws in Canada to not allow all competitor types of payments! It is probably the same in the USA. Ebay should be careful in protecting its interests.
