I know I used to know the answer to this....

-Buyer does not pay and no communication for 5 days so I open a UID on day 5

-Buyer then pays by eCheck on day 6

If the UID ends before the eCheck clears, what happens?

OR

Am I supposed to be Mr Nice Guy and close the case even though this person is essentially a "poor" buyer.....

Leave the UID open and don't let it close automatically. Wait to see what happens with the echeck. If it clears, the UID should close automatically as paid. If it bounces, close it manually as unpaid.
