"We can't process your request to return this item because the item wasn't purchased on the US eBay"

The item came in damaged packaging.

 I contacted the seller and he said send it back.

 I sent it. USPS Tracking number says it arrived 10 days ago.

Now no response from the seller.

Fine, I'll start the formal process.

FAIL "We can't process your request to return this item because the item wasn't purchased on the US eBay site"

Tried Paypal, but they too claim that they are free of responsibility.

Maybe my credit card?  Fail!  I must have forgotten to switch it from my bank account.

 

It's not an international order.  The item went from New Jersey to California and back.  I may have been on ebay.co.uk because I was looking at some UK only items.

 

Are they serious?  I really have no coverage?  One strange thing is that a lot of the ebay denial links seem to be *.ca (Canada) links.

Are you in Canada?

Go to the Help and Contact tab up in the right hand corner.

Open the dropdown menu, and go to the Resolution Centre.

That will help you open a PAYPAL dispute.

Only US-based purchases go through eBay resolution. The rest of us deal with Paypal.

I wound up having to call PayPal. THanks though.
