I returned an item, seller will pay for return shipping. Does eBay lock PayPal email addresses?

The seller indicated they would pay for return shipping. How do I let the seller know my Paypal email address if Ebay won't let me send my email address in Ebay messages?

Since you are in a transaction, you can request or send email addresses.

I'm assuming your seller will be sending you money to cover the cost of shipping.

Be sure you and he know what that cost is. Canada Post International Tracked shipping is not cheap.

If he is in the States he may be able to send you a pdf USPS Return Shipping Label using Shippo.com or Stamps.com, in which case he may need this.

Does eBay address this officially anywhere under it's TOA as an acceptable, allowable solution for sellers and buyers? I've looked and found nowhere other than when it's been brought up in the weekly sessions or in a discussion post on dot ca/dot com.

The concept of being able to contact customers for re-payment also applies to INR's from a sellers perspective. Often several messages back and forth between 2 parties can get flagged by the bots.

In principle an INR is no longer an INR when it eventually does get delivered. Should it not be official somewhere? Sellers choices in many of these cases are refund or eBay refunds automagically. As I mentioned before  in the weekly there are very limited ways to extend an open INR. You can try asking for an extention. No guarantees.  Having no system in place within Ebay for sellers to recoup especially when sellers  have ZERO control of when a parcel actually gets delivered. eBay's announcement from early 2021 only applied to Canada/USA. Not anything moving internationally. (Even more important going forward with "Expect processing/delivery delays due to VAT collection.")
