PHONEY MACBOOK ADS

Ebay is filled with phoney MacBook listings every day for months now.  What do these fake listers get out of this. Is it some sort of personal vendetta against Ebay? Is there no way for Ebay to prevent this?

Use the Report feature on the listing in question to give voice your concerns directly to eBay so they can investigate.

Typically these are hijacked accounts. They hijack the account, plus they hijack a PayPal account and move money around that way. Once an account has been frozen, they move on to the next compromised account.

They obviously have a network in place to launder the money.

It's too bad that this is happening. It is ruining the Ebay experience. I really have to look carefully at the ads now and try to distinguish what is real and what isn't. I have already fallen prey twice but with no transactions happening thank God.

I've said it a dozen times...
Anyone that purchases electronics or related hardware from a non-certified distributor is a fool.
Only a fraction of the number that expected a deal too good to be true, this forum has many, many posts from the duped.
