Received fake item. What should I do?

Hi,

I received in the mail yesterday a fake bag I bought on eBay.  I right away initiated a return with the seller and have yet to hear back.  What should I do next?  I used PayPal and through PayPal my AMEX.

At this point you wait for the seller to accept the return.  What reason did you use for the return?  Assuming it wasn't a buyer's remorse return (changed mind, didn't fit etc) the seller will have to  send you a return shipping label.  If they are outside of Canada they probably will not be able to send a label so you will have to let them know how much a label will be so that they can send you the money via Paypal. 

Do not pay for the label yourself as eBay cannot force the seller to repay you for return shipping once you've sent the item back.

A fake bag... What does that say about the source and what he thinks of you?

I wouldn't waste time posturing.

Go to the Resolution Centre and follow the directions...

"I received an item that does not match the seller's description".

It will be the seller's responsibility to provide a shipping label to pay for tracked return shipping.

Do not close the case until the transaction has been entirely refunded.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
