Seller sayes Canada post not accepting...as per Ebay News???

as per message from my Seller on an item that i purchased...

Canada post cannot delivery either, we got the news from eBay officially, you can check the eBay news too. I am not sure why Canada post cannot deliver the package now. Please trust I really hope I can deliver the item to you, I do not cancel this order for you, but for now, we cannot send it out. Speedpak service also will return it back to us if we send it out.
So really hope you can wait for it and let's see when it will be recovery.

Is this true? I'm not sure where to look for this information to confirm it.

At this point I would cancel the purchase, or potentially there could be issues if your MBG runs out. If the seller cant send an item out then he doesn't get to keep the money.
