fake traking #

I am getting tired of these fake tracking # and not receiving the product, getting a full credit just so I can re-order the same product from someone else. This year 2018, have been the worst year yet, over 10 items with fake tracking #, that I had to get a full credit by talking to eBay, wasting time waiting for customer service, then wait for the full refund, just to place the order again from another sellers.

Why is it, that the customer doesn't get credited for a waist of time for waiting. The seller has no consequence, except for a bad review, but even then, they ask for 5 stars because they credit us in full, when really, they didn't have a choice sense, it's eBay policy anyways.

All the seller using fake tracking # and customer not receive their purchase, should be penalize!!

1- Credit the customer for the full amount of the order including shipping if customer paid for it.

2- Resend the product to the customer at sellers cost with a valid tracking #.

This would force Sellers to care more about the customer receiving their orders and the customers will have more confidence in buying on eBay.

Seller should have to pay something, cause the customer never ask to be given a fake tracking #, the seller chose the option for the customer, so it should fall on the seller to pay the customer for a fake tracking # that cause a product  not to arrive or lost. But without a real tracking #, we can't even prove that the product what even shipped!

HUH?

Why didn't you go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of almost every eBay page?

Open an Item Not Received Dispute, ignore the suggestion that you Contact the Seller, immediately ask eBay to step in within the Dispute and Escalate to a Claim.

If the seller cannot prove Delivery (not shipping, delivery, so the fake number is useless) you will be refunded.

No need to talk to a human. Robots are faster and more accurate. *

In addition to the eBay Resolution Centre, Paypal has its own, if you miss the 30 days after last estimated date for delivery that eBay offers.

The PP Resolution Centre is hidden at the top of every PP page under Tools.

PP allows 180 days from Payment for a Dispute.

Again, the seller must prove Delivery, or pay the refund.

BTW-- often a 'too good to be true'  purchase is vapourware. It doesn't arrive because it never existed.

No.

The seller who does not refund promptly and willingly gets a Defect on his selling account. Too many of those (eBay is cagey about the number, but it is low) and the account is closed.

Feedback on the other hand is meaningless and is not considered by eBay in assessing seller accounts

Many of the worst offenders are highly-rated sellers. The ONLY reason they're highly rated is that, despite having hundreds of strikes against, that fact gets buried in the percentages. High sales with lots of praise tends to bury even hundreds of crooked dealings.

The only way to put a stop to it is to get rid of the percentage calculations. Any seller with a hundred or more complaints should simply be booted off eBay.

Nonsense. Positives do not bury the negatives and neutrals. This not the A-River.

eBay gives a Buyer the ability to ignore a Seller's positives and only look at the negative feedback. You click on the number of negatives (or neutrals) the Seller has to see what the issues are.

that is if you withing the time frame of being able to do it. If you miss that windows of opportunity, you won't be able to give any feedback what so ever.

I bet that 99.8% of top rated sellers ship out there items on time. But the mail system isn't perfect!!

But seriously you buy cheap **bleep** from China and expect tracking and fast delivery common be realistic and less negative!
