Is it possible to request for better price from the seller after winning an auction bid - considering there were no other offers/bids?

You can negotiate before completing a purchase at a yardsale or fleamarket. I've personally never tried negotiating at a Walmart or C Tire but I guess you could try. Don't know how much luck you would have if you were to try!?!
From a sellers perspective they were hoping for the highest possible price they could get. Not lower.
