Why can't I currently use Paypal?

As of today not, one single item I have come across has the paypal payment option. What is going on here?

The same thing happened to me about 2 hours ago. I bought a couple items (and paid with paypal) this morning, but now all of a sudden, the paypal option disappeared. This happened to me once before in 2021 and I contacted ebay (they did nothing and claimed it didn't exist), and then about 2 days later it magically was back.

There appears to have been a major problem at Paypal.

It also seems that it has been fixed as of 9:20 PDT.
